I haven’t baked in a while.
I haven’t blogged in a while, either.
I’ve been thinking a lot about my little corner of the web and what I want it to be. And the more thinking I did, the less and less I actually wanted to do — cook, photograph, write…any of it. The blogging world can be a weird place, and for a while, this little outlet became just another thing on my to-do list rather than a place of creativity and inspiration. Never what I intended for it to become.
So I decided I’d blog when I felt like it. And perhaps this cute little cake in this month’s issue of Bon Appetit was just what I needed snap me out of my blogging funk. I baked — for the first time in months. And was actually inspired to blog, too. So there’s that. It’s a start, anyway.
Otherwise, summer 2013 is rounding out to be pretty awesome. If you’ve been following me on Instagram or Twitter, you probably know a little bit about what I’ve been up to. But in case you haven’t, here’s a quick photo rundown:
I grew some stuff…
…went to a few awesome parties…
…shot some VIPs for work…
…hung out with some really cool kids…
…drank fancy drinks at the American Club…
…played tourist in my own city…
…had a few picnics…
…played some bags…
…grilled some more stuff…
…and enjoyed my summer as best I could.
Thanks for sticking with me. See you guys soon.
